We went from Monterey City to Los Angeles Saturday 18nt. We had a very nice trip driving down Highway 1 and after a while Highway 101. Finally we got feelings back from driving on standard Norwegian roads…. 2 lanes, cury and steap on both sides…. Well exept nature it was pretty usual driving for us, but seemed like the americans really didnt like those roads (well we hate them to… stupid politicans… and “naturewannadebe protectors…” Who is a big joke to the norwegian country… grr…). When came into Los Angeles we really met traphics…. 14 lanes Highway ??? Darn thats something hehe. real funny meeting with the LA-way…

Monterey was a reeal nice little town. We went kayaking first nigh there, and tried to go diving, but ent up with just a testdive testing out wetsuits This is a real nice town for vacation and we did fall in love with this area of the US…. so we give our best advices!

The second and last day of the San Francisco stay we finally got worked out the ferry ride to Alcatraz. After going for a walk in the financial district of SF we hit the ride out to the island. Of course it feels smaller than on movies, but still fun to see.

Now the tide is set for San Francisco. Helga as usual guided us through hell and fire. That old hag even forced us to drive IN downtown San Francisco. After breaking 10-15 traffic rules we finally found a place to park the car in downtown SF. Going on the day we went for a walk from downtown down to the bay. We did not get the chance to ride th ferry to Alcatraz, as it had stopped going out there when we arrived around 3pm. Instead we took a walk to the bay aquarium taking a look on the life down under the water surface.

As we all know driving a car during rush hour is a boring task. However during our drive we got the urge to test out the United States health care system (for insurance guys reading this - yes we are ill! It just don’t show… as much). Anyhow after this great idea we both checked in to the city hospitals ER (Emergency Room).  We both got in immediately the doctors. I (Aleks) got checked all over, x-ray and so on. Apparantly I am NOT pregnant… Go figured. Though I got three kinds of strong narcotics (medicaments) - I knew I were a bit crazy, but so crazy I need pills with a warning label? hmm

Today Helga guided us through death valley. Though I really don’t think Helga like us as well she should, so she is trying some bizarre type revenge. First we drove where everyone else were driving, but then she let us upon might the worst roads in the US (fine Norwegian quality in other words) rest of the way. Now we are staying at a hotel next to the road at the last part of the motor way to San Francisco (just about 3 hours away).

After a great advice from a college we booked us into the hotell CircusCircus in middle of Las Vegas. The hotell have 3700 rooms, its circus with artists, alot of chocps, steakhoues, Kafès + a huge adventure area! Its amazing for 2 “smalltown” guys to see (Oslo is only a small suburban compared to most here…).

Had a deal with Alex before gaming here… so he have cheated me for 150$. Darn young bastard.. hehehe

Our next stop is Las Vegas, though since Las Vegas in on the way, we had to take a look on the view of the Grand Canyon.

Man - the AC did the toll of me during the first days. “Someone” is claiming I got “affected” by my aspirin intake yesterday. I only did take 20-25 (I don’t remember) for the last 12 hours. To prove I’m not affected by the aspirin, just take a look on the convincing pictures where I’m ready to give the box from me.

One thing I can say; Aspirin does not work…
